Description

survives from Victorian period England

’ time and time again

It is unclear whether this album is at all related to Gatty or those around her but the blatant presence of the magazine extract leads us to believe she is either connected to this collection or is perhaps the muse for it

a memorial to the engineers of Titanic may be found in Andrews Park on Above Bar Street and opposite the main memorial is a memorial to Wallace Hartley and the other musicians who played on the ship

An Unusual & Scarce Pair of Early 20thC Stone Garden Pixies c.1930 Doe & Hope X Hannah Matthews survives from Victorian period EnglandOrigin: EnglishPeriod: Early 20thCProvenance: UnknownDate: c. 1930Height: 25Width: 9Depth: 11 (each)The rare and highly blithe pair of stone garden pixies, each sat crossed legged on naturalistic tree stumps with mischievous smiles and pointed hats and ears, surviving from the second quarter of the twentieth century. The pixies are well patinated and covered in years of garden lichen with both having had repairs, which is actually reassuring of age.
